Level 1 DRT Workshop (Online)

Level 1 focus on a working knowledge of the following:

  • Comprehensive Model of Perfectionism
  • Assessment of perfectionism traits, interpersonal manifestations & cognitions
  • Perfectionism Social Disconnection Model
  • Structure & use of the Triangle of Object Relations and Triangle of Adaptation
  • Cyclical Relational Pattern (CRP)
  • Foundations of Dynamic-Relational Therapy including interpersonal theory, the nature of attachment and attachment styles, and principles of relational-dynamic theory applied in individual and group psychotherapy

Level 2 focus on application of Dynamic-Relational Therapy (both individual and group) including:

  • Ongoing refinement of the working case conceptualization
  • Levels of individual and group treatment
  • Establishing and maintaining a collaborative working relationship
  • Interpretation of transference material
  • Use of countertransference to guide intervention
  • Recognizing ruptures in the therapeutic alliance and doing the work of repair
  • Importance of ongoing monitoring of treatment progress
